Last Friday night was so much fun! It brings me back to myself. I was able to let go and enjoy the evening out with my friend Deanna and her niece Meghan. Deanna and I go back to high school. She is a music buff and turns out, so is her niece. We went to see a tribute band for the Foo Fighters. I knew a couple songs but not too many, but Deanna, she knows, and she found it absolutely incredible. They did a really great job.

The Faux Fighters are a band from Canada. They have been performing their show for the past 10 years. It was in a casino in the East Valley of Phoenix called Casino Arizona. The drive was about 30 minutes from my home on the west side. Seems I am destined to be a Westerner. I seem to always find myself there.

The weather had been in the 90s with it cooling and cloudy in the evenings. I even saw rain one day, for about 2 minutes. It had been muggy then as well, and there was lots of wind to blow all the flowers off the trees and bushes into the pool. My pool guy hates my yard. I have too many flowering things around the pool that get into the pool. He gets very frustrated by it. He has been suggesting I have someone come twice a week rather than once because the pool filter gets full so often. Since I have been there, I can clear it, but that won’t be the case when I leave and no tenants until next year, so far.

I am feeling better but have not accomplished much. I did buy more air filters, a new drain cover for the master bath, cleaned a bit, ordered new lounge chairs for the patio, which will be delivered Tuesday. I also reattached the shelf above the toilet in the master. I have also been assembling all the things people have left behind to donate or thrown away. I have a whole laundry basket. I also have a few things from Dan to get rid of.

He is going to help me install a light fixture on Thursday in the closet. He bought it a while back for me. Can’t wait to see it. Other than that, I have been filling my time with Netflix. Watching Marriage At First Sight and Firefly Lane. It has been hardest in the evenings to be alone with myself, but it is what I need to learn. I need to be okay with myself, but it is a process. I can hard things and everything is going to be ok, I know it will be. Thank goodness for great people in my life and great experiences!
