Venice

Fredric and I in Venice

My brother, Fredric, was such a gentleman and helped me with my bags, getting around, driving and just showing me the sights. It was fantastic to spend time with him. Long talks after he got off work. He has the best memory for details and a history buff so we worked in some history as well. It had been a long time since we spent time together and I am wondering why.

Larisa and me

His wife Larisa was so great at making sure I had everything I needed, made breakfast and always looking put for me. I got to experience so many different things and just enjoy the family. It was so nice to spend time with my family.  I have missed them terribly but did not realize it until I saw them. She made sure I had lots of photos of myself and the family. Appreciated it so much!

Me, Fredric, Irina, Larisa

Their two daughters Liza and Irina were both super fun to be with. They were great companions the entire time, always willing to please. Irina was my roommate over the weekend while Liza stayed at home. Irina is the most self disciplined child. She wants to go to bed at 9 pm. Both are good at helping and loved, loved, loved spending time with them.

We only had an afternoon in Venice but I was content. It was a memorable time together which is more important than anything else and I saw plenty. Venice is an interesting place where you can get lost quickly but so enjoyable. You never know what you will find around the corner. I did feel a little trapped but still absolutely fascinating. My brother made sure we had what we needed and took care of so many things like booking places to stay.

Me in Venice!!!

What an amazing adventure I have been on the past 12 days but alas it is back home today. It will be nice to be back but so very grateful I took the time to come. Absolutely a trip I will hold close to my heart ❤️. I wish I had stayed for Christmas because it would been one I would treasure. Blessings all around and what an absolute joy to spend time with my dear family.

It is the people we meet in life which make life worth living. It is the experiences we will always remember, not the things we buy. May we treasure one another as a gift 🎁. It is priceless. So fortunate in life in so many ways and feel gratitude in every fiber of my being. May you be blessed as well.
