Malmö festival week

Back home in time for a week long festival in town. It is like going to the fair but FREE to attend! All the music stages are free and have some pretty big stars, although there are few I know but Timbuktu was tonight and Melissa Horn was Monday on the big stage.

Fun rides in a few different places with food vendors, things to buy along with the local fare all open for the throngs of people who are attending. Every night there are new things to experience.

There are so many different stages from blues, swing, rap, traditional Swedish style dance band and so much more to experience.

Main stage at Stortorget

I have only been a couple of times because I wasn’t feeling very well. I have been Sunday evening to see the local radio station mix with a couple friends and then went on to experience the dance band. This was when I started feeling queasy and a headache. I also went for a short time on Monday when Melissa Horn played. She was amazing. Festival continues until Friday. Two more days to go.

On Sunday I was also at a grillfest to recruit new members for VASA Skåne Lodge 570 which was pretty fun. Got to meet the folks I saw back in May. They are also in need of younger members same as those in the USA. I would be the youngest member of the group I think. I did have to cancel my class Tuesday because I just did not feel well enough and couldn’t find a substitute. I was not happy about doing that.

I bought a portable air conditioner because I have been miserable and trying a new anti-depressant medication tonight. Hoping it will not be have the side effects of the others. I do still think I need a little assist so giving one more a go. This one has a weight gain side effect which is not something I need as I have done that all on my own. We will see how it goes.
