I had a bit of a melt down Wednesday evening. I took myself out to dinner while I did my Relationship Mastery zoom class. I went to the mall in advance where I was seeing a movie with a friend. I ate at O’Leary’s and had my class online there. I met my friend at the movie theater at the other end of the hall. We got to see Top Gun, finally. After the movie we hung out for a bit and I took the bus and train home and directly to bed when I got home.

It took a while to fall asleep and when I did I slept hard but woke about an hour later from a dream. I had had a conversation with Dan, my ex. He had found someone new, which is true he has. I woke up with the same feelings I had almost a year ago. It felt as if it had just happened again, my life upside down and all the anxiety I had back then. I texted Dan, probably not the best idea. For at least an hour I felt sorry for myself, texting everything I felt to Dan until I fell asleep from exhaustion. Some of those texts may make for a good break up song someday.

Thursday morning I had an early morning flight scheduled for 8:15. The busy night was totally worth it until I couldn’t sleep and had to wake up at 5 am. Then I regretted it. I was so tired and just as I boarded the train to the airport I found out my flight was delayed. I could have used an extra hour of sleep. I did try to sleep some on the plane but didn’t get more than a few minutes.

I am once again in Romania. I flew with Wizz air, which flies to many places I would like to go including Bucharest. It is a no frills airline and pretty inexpensive if you take just a small bag which fits under the seat. Romania was never on my list of places to visit. I had no idea how it looked, nor did I care. However, I have come to understand every land has its beauty. The world is a beautiful place full of surprises.

I rented a car from the airport so I could explore and it was more convenient for the early return flight. Romania is a big country and the roads are smaller and not as nice as the streets I am accustomed. I paid full insurance for the car for this reason. However, what I did not know was it excluded other things so they gave me two options I had an option to pay $250 extra which would cover anything else that happened like a windshield chip or a scratch, etx or put a deposit of $1500 and have a chance to get some or all of it back. The woman helping me tried to persuade me there would likely be a problem and even the tiniest crack or scratch would cost me a lot of money. I took option B but now I am uncertain. Not very happy with Klass Wagen rental. Not sure the others would have been better. So far driving has been a stressful because I am afraid something will happen I have no control over. I am however grateful for air conditioning because it is very warm here.

I had booked a room at the coastal town called Costinești. The choose here because they had great views and air conditioning! I got a notice my room had been canceled. When I called she said I had booked for the day before. I asked if it was possible to change to dates to those I had inteneded and she said yes but a different room. No problem, as long as I have a view.

Google sent me on the shortest route but worst road ever. Extra stressful after the car insurance bit. The good news is I got to see some amazing views I would not have seen otherwise. The black sea is totally different than I expected. It has a beautiful color and so nice to bath in. Salty and beautiful.

Finally after driving in circles I found the Black Sea View hotel. It is three stories tall and my room was on the top floor with commanding views of the Black Sea! The shipwreck Evangelia lies just outside the window.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay and highly recommend all to come visit and stay here. You have other options but can not imagine a better place. The owners are friendly and willing to accommodate as much as possible. Free parking, and free wifi. Breakfast was delicious. I definitely want to come back. I highly recommend Black Sea View hotel. It was better than Spain! Everyone should visit the coast of Romania. To find out more http://www.Blackseaview.ro

After being in Conștienți, I was told the beach in Constanța was very nice but honestly preferred the first. That beach in Constanța was crushed seashells. Much more difficult to walk on but significantly larger. Constanța had more upscale resorts and more beach space but I enjoyed where I stayed far more. So glad it happened the way it did.

That being said there some things which have been a challenge. I had called my bankcards with my travel plans and still had problems getting cash and then the bank machine was out of cash because the amount of people taking out money. Here some people speak english which is nice but also have to keep my eyes open for pick pockets.

It is 30 degrees Celsius which is only 80s but feels like 100 to me. Not a big fan of heat. Not too many have air conditioning for as warm as this area is but most don’t have the means to have it either. My first few days have been a good start anyway.
