Quiet time

I have been tired since I came back from London. It has been lonely as well going from people to be with, to only myself every day. I used to wish for this occasionally and now I wish it wasn’t so. Took a couple days to myself but to rest but now time to be with people.

Saw the final divorce papers to sign but there was a small thing which needed to be changed about my name being changed back to my maiden name, so after this gets taken care of it, it will be final next week. Feels a bit sad after so many years for it to be over for real.

I went yesterday with my friend Malin spontaneously to Lund which is 15 minutes away by train. We both have our summer card which means we can go anywhere in the Skåne province for 2 months for one price and I am going to make the most of it. I went to Malmö, Lund, Trelleborg and soon Simrishamn and many more to come. So excited to explore southern Sweden.

In Lund

We walked around a little and then ate a buffet lunch which was very good and relaxed. I bought some fresh herring to prepare tomorrow like my dad showed me with dill. Super excited about it because it brings up good memories of my biological father. Something he did well was cook!

Turning Torso in Malmö

We took the bus back to see a different route on the way back home and I saw some towns I had not seen before. I enjoyed the trip and time with her very much. Afterwards I went to Trelleborg to see a family I love and we just spent time together. It was nice being with the two youngsters. They are like family.

Apartment doesn’t look like mine anymore

Tomorrow they are showing the apartment so I cleaned so it is ready since I am going to go out and enjoy the day. Hope your day is wonderful. Next week is midsummer and will have more adventures to share coming soon.

Glad Midsommar! Today I am set up at VASA Park for Midsommar. Lots of activities in the park area and vendors are set up in the Ballroom, now called Event Center. We are crossing our fingers for decent weather. It rained a lot yesterday and so far in June we have had only 3 days over 70F. Not very warm. Nice to hear you took an outing exploring the communities around you. The bus service is easy.

  2. Hey girl ~ appreciate the time with yourself, love yourself, congratulate yourself, look at yourself from above as the woman you are and just observe and let the feelings, all of them, be it sad, happy, peaceful etc, let them move through you. You are not the feelings. This is something I have learned myself and just passing it on. Let me know sometime what you think of this thought.

The apartment certainly looks emotionless but add a few pillows and such, who knows. I guess that’s why they simplify it so the new tenant can paint over the canvas.

We are still having stupid weather here. If it hits 70’s it’s only for a short time in the afternoon. Many unusual clouds are often present even when it’s not raining. When skies are clear I usually see a chem trail or two or three, which brings more cool weather, clouds and some intermittent rain periods. Just weird. Most people don’t seem to notice, they just say ‘Washington weather’. It’s different though I notice.

Are you still seeing your fella, Sorin? Just wondering.

I’m still helping Joyce who is moving for the summer months to a condo/rental for seniors. Her boyfriend, John (who was a family friend in AZ and at some point became a friend, then boyfriend and now a close relationship), he is here now and will live here with her for the summers. Joyce’s health, mental and physical is declining and she has a hard time making decisions. John is good at helping her although she likes a break from him at times. He is mad about her but the feelings aren’t mutual. She knows she needs him and she doesn’t like that. Joyce has had 2 shots, which I will never fully understand why…it was pressure though. She won’t get anymore. She thinks and so do I that they have contributed to her decline.

So I’m off to her house today to help her decide what to take to this new smaller place. She will be selling her house and there will be an estate sale for whatever she leaves behind. She has a hard time parting with her things yet she knows she doesn’t need or want much of it. So that’s where I come in.

This evening I will be going to a Milonga (tango) at my teachers studio. Last night I went to Macaluso’s Italian restaurant with my son and Katie and Ava. It was so good. Will have to go there more often.

    Love you, Kathleen

  3. Glad midsommar!!
At least the apartment owner likes your cool light thing to keep it out! Guess being black it is okay… I prefer your interior styling. Much more warm and happy feelings. Recovering from yesterday and trying to get psyched to tackle a hay field in Kirkland. It has been a challenge to try and do yard work in Kirkland with the cold and rain. Okay in LS to take a break and head outside when the rain stops, not as convenient to head to Kirkland only to have the rains start again!! Hope the PH turns out yummy. I miss getting jars of ABBA’s PH. PoK!!
