Yes, I am in London. I am making the best of the time I have. My relationship coach was having a live event and I made a commitment to attend. Why not? It is a short 2 hour flight from Copenhagen to Heathrow where the event would be and I would finally get to meet some of the people I have met online for the past few months.

The day before was a bit stressful getting everything ready and I missed my intended train at 5:01 am. I came down the stairs just as it left and it was 20 minutes for the next one but it all went smoothly and I ended up in first class! I have no idea how that worked out but I got a lovely English breakfast I ate with a knife and fork, which was far better than the tuna sandwich I had purchased.

Thursday I got to my hotel, left my bag and took the bus back to the airport to catch the tube (subway) and rode about an hour on the Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus stop. I met some Americans on board the tube who were on a two week holiday to see about the possibility of moving here. It was fun to see their spirit and willingness to try something new.

At Piccadilly circus, I found Leicester where they have tickets for all the shows in London. I couldn’t decide on one so did not go and just went exploring. I have been here before with Dan and thought I might get triggered but just enjoyed walking around and seeing some familar and new sights. The bunting was still up from the queen’s 70th jubilee which made it quite festive. I missed it by one week so things were still being taken apart at Buckingham Palace as well so couldn’t get too close.

I walked through the parks and it was a beautiful, pleasant day. Loads of people around enjoying the sunshine or the shade on the expansive lawns, catching the views of the eye and of course the beautiful gardens. I ate fish and chips at a local pub which was just ok but now I can say I have done it.

I spent Friday in my room recovering as my legs had pretty bad edema. I elevated my legs and rested to get ready for the event the next day knowing I had more time to explore. I ordered room service of a grilled cheese sandwich amd fries and got toasted bread with some butter a slice of cheese and lettuce. Very disappointing and not a grilled cheese sandwich at all in my eyes.

Friday evening I met with the facilitators of the event that was happening the next day and another participant. We ate dinner at a local Indian restaurant. I got to try lots of different dishes as we shared a meal together and got to know each other. Very fun.

Saturday was the “Know Your Worth” event. It was an inspirational day filled with speakers sharing their journey in life and tips for us. It was a terrific day of learning and networking. Everyone was sharing and caring for one another. Beautiful, warm and loving people filled with passion and heart. Very much enjoyed the event and meeting so many wonderful new friends.

I also got to meet many people who I have seen on zoom and got to share my journey. I had many people come up to me and tell me they appreciated my share and my vulnerability as I cried as I talked about my experience of going through the coaching and what I had learned. I felt seen and loved for who I was. It was a tremendous event.

At the close I finally met my now friend Manjit who I had spent 12 weeks sharing stories and work with. I also met my health coach, Laura, in person and have plans with both before I leave. Some of us got together for dinner and shared more stories as we ate together. There is a connection we all had as we are all on personal journeys of discovery. It has been amazing to meet like minded people.

After dinner, Manjit drove me to Windsor and we walked along the streets. Still a lot of people spilling out into the streets from the pubs and restaurants. It was fun seeing the castle again and sharing a special time with her. We will spend a few hours together tomorrow as well sightseeing and enjoying each others company.
