The fields in the southern part of Sweden are lovely just now. Fields filled with yellow canola flowers as far as the eye can see. Such a beautiful cheerful sight. A nice distraction when you get detoured because the train doesn’t run as it should. I rode the bus instead to visit some friends for Taco friday. Apparently there had been a derailment, yikes. Wish I knew more but glad I was not part of it. One benefit is I got to see a part of town I don’t normally get to see which makes me realize I need to explore more.

All around the area are blooming cherries trees, lilacs and the sweet smell of canola flowers. It is quite intoxicating. I also saw Pippi Longstocking riding her bicycle on my walk.

I spent some time this week with friends, which I needed very much. I try to keep myself busy but alas I am still home alone a fair amount. I sometimes wished for this and now all I can say is be careful what you wish for. Life is full of challenges and sometimes we make more for ourselves than we needed to.

This week there was some much needed rain. I did a bit of catch up on some bookkeeping and got to see a bit of Malmö I had not seen before. I met some friends I had not seen in a while at a new location. It was most enjoyable to know people remembered me despite being gone for a bit.

This evening I went into town and danced in Gustav Adolfs square. A man I had met once before had set up his homemade portable speakers. He is from Denmark. I heard the music and went to investigate. I had eaten dinner in a nearby restaurant and was pleased to recognize him. I introduced myself and stayed and danced in the square. It was just him and I dancing with another couple hanging out. It was nice to just let go and have some fun. A fun way to end the evening.
