More adventures

Beverly is on her way home today. Feeling sad about having her go back home again. It was nice having her close by and it was fun to show her around. We could easily have spent another week just in the southern part of Sweden. We found we had more things to do than we had energy.

Petra and myself

Wednesday we had a bit of a rest day after Denmark. It was needed. We dropped off the rental car a day early and looked around town a little. The library is amazing and I can not wait to go back. All kinds of languages too, including English of course.

Malmö library

I had an audition Wednesday at a local gym at 5 pm so wanted to be rehearsed and rested. I took the train to Malmö Central. There were 15 people at the audition. We did bicycle, cross fit, kickboxing and Les Mills Grit before it was my turn. I was absolutely exhausted. We finished with yoga but it was 2 hours total. I did fine but not sure I did well enough to get a job since I have not heard. The head person was moving to Texas next week so she was trying to get answers out to everyone before Easter and I did not get anything. Still a chance, but either way is fine.

Thursday we went back to Malmö central for more shopping.  It was fun. We made it through a few more places. I had to sign my tax return so we could file our taxes in time. We owed a little bit more. We met up with my friend Petra and enjoyed a little sun time. Beverly took some more nice photos.

Little mermaid
Copenhagen

Friday we went to Copenhagen for the day. We walked the main street and did some souvenier shopping. We walked down to Nyhavn which you have seen before but we took the boat tour in the canals of Copenhagen.  I went on the same tour in 1999 but lots had changed since then or maybe I did not remember. I did get a better view of the little mermaid ‘s back. Last time I remember we were pretty far back and she was so small.

Copenhagen
Tivoli

We had planned on a city bus tour but that did not happen so we went to Tivoli instead which was pretty cool. All the beautiful flowers. We were able to see quite a bit but we were so tired and it was late. When we headed up there were a lot of young people heading in for a concert.

We slept well that night and had a bit of a late start the next day. We went back to Malmö and Beverly bought a beautiful dress which she looked stunning in. We also did a bit more looking around and then we took the last tour on the canal in Malmö. It was not as fun as Copenhagen but still very interesting.  Glad we went.

Malmö boat tour

In the evening we set out to see the sunset over the water in Limhamn with Copenhagen in the background. It was a wonderful sunset. We went home and then I left Beverly to finish packing her treasures.

Limhamn

I was awake at 4 am and shortly after I read Beverly needed another suitcase, so at 5 am I  brought her one. We shifted some things around and took our leave. We discovered last night the trains were not running to the airport this morning so we had to adjust and took the bus for a 35 minute ride in. After getting in some extra steps we found were we needed to be to drop off the luggage and off she went. She is flying now. And I am thankfully she came to see me.

  1. Always fun to have visitors and you were such a good guide. She was lucky to have a private guide.
