As I am more accustomed to things I see time is going quicker. I have regular things to attend to and not so many exciting things to share as they are not new anymore. Still things to learn and do but one by one. I love that the days are longer. Sun rise is 6:36 and sunset is 7:47 pm. So exciting and invigorating to have more daylight and we have been lucky to have sunshine. We are having a bit of a cold spell with a high of 3° C (37° F).

Cold and clear makes for a beautiful sunset which I saw yesterday. Went out for an evening walk and as I was coming up to the train and bus area I notice how beautiful the sky was. It looked like it was on fire with the pink and red hews. Absolutely spectactular display. I could also clearly see the Öresund bridge in the distance which is something I don’t see often. I rode bus 33 to the very end of the line in Limhamn which is Ön (meaning island). There is the nice path around the beach. I hoped to continue seeing the colors in the sky as they disappeared. I was not disappointed.

It was tremendously cold but my friend, Sorin and I went into Central station and walked through the center of town after Limhamn. The small square was full of people eating, music playing and people laughing and having fun. The bus was also full as well with people going out to meet others. It was enjoyable to be in town and hear others living life.

Tuesday I had written a Facebook message to my dad’s last live in, Annlis, when he passed. I had decided to cut off contact with her because of different things but wanted to see if she wanted me to take care of dad’s grave and she said yes. She had been doing so. Sent me a photo from the fall and I thanked her for doing so. I purchased some plants and Sorin went with me to plant them and put flowers for my grandmother too. White tulips were her favorite so that is what she got.

My father is in the same grave as his brother Gert-Åke and his father Ingvar. His mother is in a separate area where they spread her ashes, as she requested. Up on the hill we saw stones with names which I had never seen before. Perhaps I can do something like that for farmor. I am glad Sorin was curious. It was a beautiful day.

Went to my favorite bakery in town but it had changed hands and the staff was very disappointing. They did not acknowledge us and we had to wait a long time for me to ask a question. They were getting orders out so I appreciated that but no eye contact, nothing and then one gal cleaned the floor before helping us. It was ridiculous.

While in town I did stop in town to say hi to someone my father always liked who owns Crazy Disc. They were closed for lunch but one of the brothers was there and came to the door. He said hi briefly. He said he thought he recognized me but wasn’t sure how. I only know a couple people but they are still around. Annlis got home just as I was leaving but maybe next time we will arrange to meet. My friend Beverly is coming from Washington tomorrow! I will be playing tourist for a couple weeks, which should make my blog more interesting for the next 2 weeks.
