Something’s coming up

I have been quiet on the writing front, but not because nothing is happening. In fact, lots of things have been going on. Today, I moved back to Malmö with my cat Nala. I have rented a room with a nice woman named Ninna. She is Danish and commutes to Copenhagen for her job, but she lives in Sweden because it is less expensive.

Nala

So far, I have enjoyed getting to know her and her two cats. My Nala has not been very friendly so far. We are hoping they will get along. Nala has decided she is the boss and the other cats are hiding out in Ninna’s room, while mine hangs out in the living room, enjoying the amazing view. It is amazing here. Water views all around. I’m looking forward to the sunsets.

The car I am selling

I have been busy packing for my move back to the states. I sent home 4 boxes and my beloved paintings from my friend Susanne and two small ones from another artist friend, Elin, who I met in Stockholm. I have also sold a few things on Facebook marketplace and hope to sell my car tomorrow to the man I bought the car from. He saw it just after I posted and called me about it. That was an interesting turn of events.

I have a few errands to run tomorrow morning to drop off a few things and pick up my other suitcase. Sorin has been begging me to stay, which has been nice to hear, but a little late. If I stayed, it would end up the same as it has been. We have had so many difficulties. It broke my heart to see him hurting, and I am hurting as well. It was a decision I did not take lightly, but a few things happened, which made it impossible for me to stay. Those things magnified after I came back. I had considered staying at our apartment because of the cat, but then a phone call happened and escalated everything. It was time to go.

Smörgåsbakelse

I went to see my childhood friend Nathalie last night, an hour away in Växjö. It was so good to see her and her husband Magnus. They always are so nice to me. We had a smörgåsbakelse, which are individual sandwich cakes. Always delicious. Dessert was ice cream and strawberries.  We talked about what was going on. We haven’t talked to each other as often as I would like but we always pick up where we left off.

Looking into Limhamn and Malmö

The view from the apartment is incredible. That cats are tolerating each other. Hoping they can be at least alone in the same room. Never imagined I would be lucky enough to have such a nice place to be. I have Nala in my room now and ready for bed. Hope I can sleep well. First night is usually the hardest.

    1. Thanks. She is adjusting to her new temporary place better than I expected. She is definitely the boss.
