Another Christmas season is upon us and coming fast. I love all the lights and the things I have been able to experience this past season. It feels a little strange still to be here but becoming more familiar.
Today I went shopping for my Christmas meal. Meatballs, red cabbage, Janssen’s temptation, pickled herring, prins korv (small sausages) and Rice pudding with red sauce. It was pretty busy at the store but thought it best to go today rather than wait. It is better than last year but haven’t been out enjoying the lights as much here in town.
Grateful I had the time with my brother and his family and my friend Lena. I am so glad I went. It was so comforting to spend time with family. It makes me realize I need to figure out when to see my family friends at home.
I have plans with friends this coming week. I look forward to that. I am grateful for so much this year. All the tough times will bring good things. I am hopeful for the coming year.
Have had to call and order yet another credit card because the replacement card got returned. Hopefully it will come next week. One of my other cards had a delivery fee, which I paid, so I’m hoping that comes now. What a hassle. Hoping all gets back to normal. Need to do some yearend bookwork, going to work a few days and have to keep looking for a job and apartment.
Also, have to sign myself up for driver education so I can get my swedish license. I heard it is more difficult than most places. I was hoping it could be easily changed, but nope. Not a lot of time to rest, but it will be good for me. I need to stay active to keep my spirits up. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas or as we say in Sweden God Jul.
