Verona, Italia

I have been shopping, walking and enjoying time with my family. Enjoying conversations with my nieces, sister-in-law and brother. It has been a long time since we spent time together.

My brother Fred and me

My brother drove us to Verona last night so we would have plenty of time to look around this morning. We had a confortable room I shared with my niece Irina and we went to look around town. We had a chance to look at the Christmas market. It was super fun.

Town square

We stayed out until midnight when they shut the little huts down. We all got a few things. I bought the girls a gift each. We had fried bread, wurstel with fried potatoes and cabbage and ground pork sandwich. All very good.

Today we looked around more of the town. Saw Juliet’s balcony from the Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet. There was a little rain last night but clear today. It was a good sunny day.

Heading back home to rest after a lot of walking. Verona was French and Austrian before becoming Italian. The main city is surrounded by a large stone wall and the city was badly damaged during WWII and much more. A very enjoyable city.
